Receive Initial Approval from Park Staff: The Candidate and Staff discuss and figure out a potential project idea, which Staff supports and approves.Get Park Staff Signature and official approval: The Candidate should arrange a time convenient for Staff to sign the completed “Eagle Scout Service Project Proposal” form. At this time, Rangers will help clarify the risks and safety concerns associated with the project.Set up the Project’s Schedule: Eagle Scout Candidates will work with Rangers to schedule dates to complete the project.Meet On Site: Before the project starts, the Scout and Staff should meet on site to go over the Final Plan.Communicate before, during, and after the Project: The Candidate  should communicate a day or so before the project to confirm everything on track. If any issues arise during the work days, the Candidate is responsible for communicating with the Park Duty Ranger. The Candidate will also communicate the projects completion, or additional details as needed, at the end of the scheduled work days.Be responsible for the Project: Park Staff may or may not be directly on site during the project. Regardless, it is up to the Candidate to be the one to lead the project.
